It's been awhile since anyone posted here so I thought I would start something new. I just got Tasslehof's Map Pouch: The Age of Mortals. While it may not be a book, I thought it was worth mentioning. It comes with several maps of Ansalon set during the age of mortas (the current era) including one drawn by the "real" Tasslehoff complete with his personal notes. One of the maps is a huge one of Ansalon. Big enough to be used as a poster.
I did have a complaint about it though. While the map included all the major cities, and many minor ones, there was no descriptions of them. I do have the campaign setting which goes into some detail about many cities and the current ruling powers, but I would have liked to have known much more.
With my Barnes and Noble discount it was around $14. Well worth the price.

No, if I went there I would think I died and gone to Heaven. *closes eyes and fantasizes about it* As I said, the one I have is set in Age of Mortals. There is also one for War of the Lance and Legends. Now, if anyone out there can get the money and are interested in the maps for War of the Lance, save up and get the Dragon Lance Atlas instead. The cheapes copy I can find now is $32 but it's well worth the price. And it's out of print. Anyone interested should go to: www.nobleknight.comThe also have several other out of print and hard to finds books. It's where I found Leaves From the Inn of the Last Home and More Leaves From the Inn of the Last Home.

rotflmao I know how that is. I have two shelves that are full. Everything is sqished in there and if there was even a little gap between the top of the books and the shelf above it there's books in there to.

Actually, I play the role playing game Dungeons and Dragons. (The second edition, not 3.5) It's played sitting around the table with a group of friends.

Sadly a lot of people have problems with role playing games like Dungeons and Dragons. It's kinda sad. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) But in a way it's good. It shows they're worried about you. I played Magic for awhile. But I stopped because the people I played with were power gaming freaks. They didn't want to sit down and have a fun game, they just wanted to win. One guy even went so far as to but in on a teaching game while two of us were teaching someone else to play. He was like, "Oh, you need a fourth person." And even after we told him we were teaching Adrian, he still had to wipe everyone out. I told him he must have felt like a big man since we weren't really playing, one was a newbie, and the other was just learning. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Don't get me wrong, I still play from time to time, just not often. On the other hand, if you can get your hands on the Warlord game, go for it. It's a great game and much better than magic. lol

I've played people like that. I was trying to teach my friend how to play and this other guy came up and tried to take over. He sucks at playing, so he wanted someone to beat for once. Well, as he attempted to sit down at the table, I pulled out the chair from under him. Then he said some nasty things and I retorted with even nastier things....but he left. I play for fun. I lke looking at the cards and the sayings on them...and making it a fair game if I can...that means when I'm playing a newer person, I don't knock them out right away.
I extend the game so they can actually get better. And I don't use my best cards unless I'm playing someone at a higher level. It's only considerate and eventually the newbie will get loads better and I have some competition. If you think about it, it also takes skill to keep the game going without wiping out the other person.

lmao Yes, I was teaching a guy to play Yu-Gi-Oh and pulled the ultimate first draw. I told him I was sorry but I couldn't lose with that hand and he said it was ok.
Usually when I play I have different decks according to weather I'm playing for fun or keeps.

We don't play for keeps...not enough money to keep replacing the cards. And we like out cards....we love them...we take them out and pet them...not really. We pick those cards for reasons and like them the way they are...so we don't play for keeps....

lol My bad. When I said for keeps I did't mean we kept the cards. I meant playing for competiton. The decks I play for competition are too power to play just for fun.
